Plymouth City Council and Balfour Beatty approached us to create a mural for the Forder Valley Nature Reserve. The design needed to integrate with the landscape and reinforce a message of environmental care.

Using deep greens and blues to reflect the foliage and ford, we devised the phrase Nurture Nature, revealed only as visitors walk or cycle past, creating a moment of discovery.

Its vertical lines echoing the connection between nature and the built environment, the mural encourages passersby to pause, reflect and engage with their surroundings.
