Plymouth Design Forum (PDF) began life in 2017 when founders James Edgar and Darren Foley had the idea of bringing together Plymouth’s professional design community to celebrate creative excellence.
A logo was created by deconstructing the recognised PDF logo, and the classic sans-serif typeface Univers was selected in a nod to Plymouth’s post-war modernist architecture. Vamped up green, taken from Plymouth’s coat of arms and the colour of Plymouth Argyle, was also chosen.
PDF’s strength and understated simplicity means it adapts readily to the range of creative work, experiences and events featured on the platform. BowdenEdgar continues to be responsible for the running of events and all creative output.
